Four clean-water wells and four sanitary toilets funded by Kampong Dewa Foundation, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Kampong Dewa Resort, were handed over to residents of Ong village in Preah Sihanouk province on the morning of August 2, 2026. The handover was conducted by the resort’s chief executive, ថមមី ភី ហើម៉ាវ៉ាន់, and community representative ឱ ភន, the village chief, with many residents in attendance.
The handover marked both the successful completion of construction and the beginning of a new phase for Ong villagers. They will have access to safer clean-water sources and sanitary toilets, helping improve health, hygiene and everyday quality of life for years to come.
Village chief ឱ ភន said the project would bring substantial benefits through sustainable access to clean water and safer sanitation facilities. He expressed his gratitude to Kampong Dewa Foundation and Kampong Dewa Resort for their valuable support for the community.
Speaking for the company, chief executive ថមមី ភី ហើម៉ាវ៉ាន់ said Kampong Dewa Resort and its foundation remained committed to creating sustainable value by investing in projects that respond to the real needs of neighbouring communities.
He said: ‘It is an honour to officially hand over these four clean-water wells and four sanitary toilets to the people of Ong village today. This project reflects Kampong Dewa Foundation’s core purpose of supporting community development and making daily life better, in keeping with our slogan: Happy people, happy communities. Through these efforts, we provide clean water, better sanitation and lasting benefits for everyone.’
ថមមី ភី ហើម៉ាវ៉ាន់ said: ‘As we hand over these wells and sanitation facilities today, we hope they will be used with care and continue to benefit the community for many years.’ The report explains that, following the formal handover to the village chief and community representatives, the community should take responsibility for maintaining, using and protecting the facilities for present and future generations.
The chief executive added that the project reflected the foundation’s belief that sustainable community development begins with meeting people’s basic needs. Providing clean water and good sanitation can improve public health, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen hygiene practices, and create a safer and better living environment.
Kampong Dewa Foundation carries out the corporate social responsibility work of the Kampong Dewa integrated entertainment complex. It follows the Panca Krida, or Five Pillars, framework, linking business success with social responsibility so that decisions support a common goal: creating happiness for guests, employees, business owners and the local community.
