Local officials reported that a SsangYong vehicle carrying male and female factory workers suffered a tyre burst while traveling at high speed, lost control and overturned, leaving several workers with serious or minor injuries.
The accident occurred at 6:21 a.m. on October 24, 2026, along National Road 1 between kilometer markers 120 and 121 in Svay village, Sangkat Chek, Svay Rieng city, Svay Rieng province. The workers were on their way to the factory.
Traffic police said the main cause of the accident was a tyre burst while the vehicle was moving. The driver was unable to regain control in time, and the vehicle overturned.
Immediately after the accident, local law enforcement officers worked with the relevant authorities and residents to provide assistance, using ambulances and other transport to take the injured to hospital as quickly as possible. By: Pai Sokhim
