Preah Sihanouk: To respond promptly to local residents’ requests and difficulties, Secretary of State Seng Someta, who heads the Royal Government’s local working group for Sihanoukville, led a team on November 2, 2026 to inspect road infrastructure and drainage systems in Sangkats 1 and 4 of Sihanoukville.
During the visit, she studied and assessed drainage impacts and road conditions to accelerate improvements to the drainage system and restore durable, high-quality road infrastructure. The aim is to address flooding and make travel easier and safer for residents.
These regular visits to local residents demonstrate the government working group’s attention to serving their immediate interests while contributing to continued improvements in Sihanoukville’s appearance and physical infrastructure. By: Pai Sokhim
