Preah Sihanouk: The Ministry of Interior’s General Department of Internal Audit opened an internal audit at the provincial police for the 2025 financial year and related years, aiming to strengthen efficiency, accountability and transparency in carrying out duties.
The opening on the morning of June 8, 2026 was chaired by department director and delegation head Lieutenant General សាន ស៊ីណា, representing the general department’s director-general, Lieutenant General ងួន ស្រេង.
Brigadier General សូ ប៊ុណ្ណារឹទ្ធិ, deputy provincial police chief responsible for staff work, received the delegation on behalf of Deputy National Police Commissioner and provincial police chief Lieutenant General ស រដ្ឋា, expressing readiness to cooperate fully with the audit team.
The event at the provincial police conference hall involved the audit delegation, deputy police chiefs, specialist office heads, police inspectors from all six cities and districts and heads of all 29 commune and sangkat administrative police posts.
The audit was expected to improve management, implementation and resource use in line with good-governance principles and the Interior Ministry’s reform direction. By: សុខ ស៊ីណាន
