On July 13, 2026, Srae Ambel district police in Koh Kong province notified residents of ភូមិបាក់អង្រុត in ឃុំដងពែង, Srae Ambel district, and people travelling through the village that continued heavy rain had flooded a road at the location identified as ចំណុចបត់ឋ in the village, making it impassable.
On July 12, the competent authorities had announced a temporary suspension of tourist visits to ឃុំដងពែង in Srae Ambel district until further notice, to ensure safety, security and public order and protect the common interest. During the suspension, authorities asked members of the public and tourists not to travel to the area for recreation and to comply strictly with instructions from the competent authorities.
